Week #1 of Boxy Momma Book Club! The current book is: “The Death of Mrs. Westaway” By: Ruth Ware

Hey Mommas!

I really hope that you all have enjoyed the first 7 chapters of this book. I know that I have? My main question for this week surrounds the author. It’s still a little early in our story to talk too much about what’s going on but I think things are accelerating quickly! That’s one reason that I really love Ruth Ware. All of her books keep a great pace and have lots of twists and turns. My question this week is: Have you ever read any of her books before? If so, what did you think of what you have read previously and if you haven’t what do you think so far about her storytelling? Remember, you will get your name entered into a prize drawing for the end of the month for participating in the weekly blog posts! You will have to participate every week, to be eligible. As an added bonus, if you go to any of our other blog posts and comment on those, your name will be entered for each post that you make! I really hope that you all are enjoying this book club, because I know that I am! I look forward to your responses! – Emily

  1. I have read two other books by Ruth Ware: In a Dark, Dark Wood and The Lying Game. I really enjoy her writing style – fast paced and lots of twists!

    • I love those books!!! I think that Reese Witherspoon may be adapting them for movies or tv as well! Are you enjoying The Death of book so far?

  2. This is my first Ruth Ware book. It’s still early so I’m not sure if I’m a fan yet. I have my suspicions of what is going on in the story, but from your description, I am probably wrong given the future twists and turns! I am intrigued and will finish this book soon I hope! Thank you for the recommendation and expanding my reading experience to a new author! – Michelle

    • You are so welcome! I will post on Insta the chapters to try and read by the end of next week! I really hope that this book club takes off and that everyone continues to enjoy! I promise, you will be a fan!

  3. I have never read any of her books. The storytelling so far is good, I can clearly see the character and settings in my mind.

I always start a book and never finish it (I’m a procrastinator). I’m hoping “assigned” chapters and weekly questions will keep me on track. 📚📚

    • I hope so too! I’m a huge reader and it’s something that helps to calm me down and make me take some time to myself. I hope you continue to enjoy it!!!!!
